Free taster session
Feel free to come along to one of our classes to try a free taster session and see if Taekwondo is for you. If you are bringing a younger student along to one of our classes, you are welcome to stay and watch.
Please use our contact form to let our instructors know when you are thinking of coming down.
We train bare feet so all you need is track trousers and t-shirt and we recommend bringing a bottle of water.
Joining CYTA & British Taekwondo
Your memberships to CYTA includes your training licence and insurance with British Taekwondo. Once you have tried a class and decide to join, you will need to:
- Set up your membership fee payments to CYTA as detailed below

These steps are quite simple and can be done on a PC or phone. Please feel free to sit with one of our team to complete the forms at one of our classes if you find this easier.
CYTA is a not for profit group and your monthly fee is your contribution to the running and advancement of
British Taekwondo also charge a yearly licence and insurance fee, however for simplicity, and unlike most clubs, we pay this for you.
We have a minimum compulsory contribution per student, per month which is:
£30 per month (-18 years old)
£40 per month (18 years old and over).
You are welcome to contribute more to the club or make occasional larger donations should you wish to. These are always gratefully received and are used to benefit the students of the club.
Your monthly fee is your contribution and membership to CYTA and British Taekwondo and has no link to the number of lessons you train in or the amount of lessons on offer as this may vary from month to month.
For families that have three members of the same household training, we allow the third person* to train for free! This is because we believe Taekwondo is an activity for the whole family and a great way to stay active together.
(*If family members are a mix of junior and senior fees, it will be one of the junior fees that will be considered free.)
How To Make Payment
When joining, you will be sent membership information along with our club bank account details and we ask that you set up a standing order for the appropriate amount. This leaves you in complete control of your payments.
If you have any questions, please ask one of our Instructors or management team.
